Utah Wedding Photography – Absolutely Gorgeous!

This was a beautiful Utah Wedding Photography session right after Christmas. It was an intimate Utah wedding with family and friends. I feel lucky that I get to be a fly on the wall (for the most part, I do talk a bit at times you know!) photographing weddings. Every wedding is so beautiful, and so emotional. I cry at every ceremony! It’s a little embarrassing, but hey, what can I say?

Every wedding has someone funny at the party, and at this wedding it was the bride’s 95 year old grandmother! She was hilarious! She weighs about two pounds, and is as flexible as a rubber band. She was really getting into the party and wanted to show me how she can do the splits (yes, you read that right! Her granddaughters confirmed this!) but her skirt was too restrictive to demonstrate! Oh my! What a lady! I invited her to the future weddings I’ll be shooting . . . I asked if she could be a grandma for hire! Who wouldn’t want a fun grandma like that at their wedding?

I love to arrive extra early for events. This gives me a chance to photograph the preparations, and conversations,which is imperative if you are tying to give your bride photojournalist coverage of her event.

This is the 95 year old grandma!

Well, this is classic. Everyone is ready . . . almost. Here’s the thing with kids. No one can tell them what to do! If they are emotional, they are! This family portrait pretty much sums up the reality of most family pictures. I hope they look back on this image in years to come and laugh about this moment!
