Utah Photography Meetup

Do you belong to a Meetup group? I belong to two Utah photography groups and they are so much fun! At every Meetup, I connect with great models and other photographers in my area. It is exciting to work together, and chat with other people who LOVE what you LOVE! Meetup is a national company, and there are Meetup groups for just about anything . . . if there isn’t a Meetup group in your area with something you are interested in, then you can start one!

I shot these images at the Smug Mug Meetup last month. We shot at a studio in Lindon, and sadly, I don’t know this models name, but she is a doll!

This last girl is Amy, and I photographed her briefly at the Sand Dunes this last summer. She is a beautiful dancer and very photogenic, so every photographer wants to work with her. Her image is a result of three assistants. YES. THREE. two assistants holding a massive seven foot reflector at just the right angle below the chair (angled up)to add a kick of light onto her face, and one assistant holding a fan at just the right angle to blow her hair like a L’Oréal commercial.
