Caribbean Wedding Photography | Saba Royal Wedding July 30, 2012

Oh! Where do I even begin with this beautiful Caribbean wedding photography session?! Meet Rosalyn. She is GORGEOUS, and hilarious! I was beyond excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding on Saba! Rosalyn married Jonathan Johnson, who is the Governor of Saba. Their wedding was a massive event (more on that later) and the locals coined their wedding as “The Royal Wedding.”
I used to live on Saba, which is a tiny five square volcanic island that juts out of the Caribbean sea. It is 28 miles Southwast of the island of Sint Maarten. Other surrounding islands (visible from Saba) include: St. Barths, Anguilla, Kitts, Nevis, and St. Eustatius. When we lived there, I only had a point and shoot camera and I had no idea how to take pictures. I have been dying to go back to Saba to photograph the island, and photographing Rosalyn’s wedding was a dream!
We dodged a few bursts of rain, and dealt with insanely strong winds. You will see what I mean about the winds when you scroll down. We shot these bridals at Cove Bay which is in Hell’s Gate, Shearwater Resort which is on Booby Hill, and the park by the museum in Windwardside.
